Gavin DeGraw Gets Beat Up, Hit By Cab, Now Hospitalized in NYC
Shocking and sad news this morning as word comes out that Gavin DeGraw was beaten by a gang of thugs late Sunday night in Manhattan.
Apparently after partying with friends after leaving an East Village bar in the early hours of Sunday morning, he was beaten by multiple attackers, before stumbling off and getting hit by a cab blocks away.
He was not seriously injured from the cab, but is in Bellevue Hospital in stable condition after suffering a broken nose and facial cuts.
According to CBSNewYork, DeGraw had been at a place on First Avenue and Sixth Street just before the incident. As DeGraw stumbled away from his assailants, he was reportedly struck by the cab at 19th Street.
He was supposed to open for [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Train[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Maroon 5[/lastfm] in Saratoga Springs tonight and appear on Live with Regis and Kelly on Wednesday morning. Our thoughts and prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery go out to Gavin, one of the most talented and gracious artists around.
He JUST visited us here in our Fresh studio a few weeks ago and had his arm in a sling for a shoulder injury. Poor guy!
That’s the bad news. Let’s hope he’s feeling better for tomorrow’s planned Livestream too…
