Jennifer Lopez Finally Speaks Up About Her Sudden Divorce

For a while, people have been wondering who is going to speak first about the sudden divorce between [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Marc Anthony[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm]. OK, that is a complete lie. We all knew J.Lo was gonna say something first. Marc only got popular again because of J.Lo, anyway.

In her issue of Vanity Fair magazine, she opens up for the first time about the divorce and potential causes of the sudden break up.

The American Idol Judge said in her interview that choosing to end her marriage “was the hardest decision [she's] ever had to face.” We all thought, myself included, that she finally got it right! Husband, wife, two kids, and a big house? What could be better?

She felt life couldn’t be better as she elaborates: “I really wanted this family to work.  That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did.”

When getting into why she thought her marriage failed, she mentioned that balancing her life as a wife, mother, and business woman was starting to become a lot.  Marc and Jennifer got married in 2004.  Jennifer said that in the first three years of her marriage, before the kids were born, she was able to spend a lot of time with Marc, as she wasn’t working as much.

This somewhat makes sense because, while she put out three albums between 2004 and 2007, she has NEVER done a solo headlining tour (PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE THAT THIS YEAR!!!), so she was not working as much. As soon as her kids were born, “it became about the kids, and then I started working again.” This may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back because now that she has a hit album in stores coupled with a successful television gig as a judge on American Idol, the spotlight is on Jenny from the Block now more than ever. She’s gotta WORK like the rent is due tomorrow!

Even though this is Jennifer’s third failed marriage, she insisted, “I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love.. It’s still my biggest dream.”

Even though I’m still so sad about this, I hope she finds Mr. Right again… so long as it is NOT [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Diddy[/lastfm].
