I cannot WAIT to see Friends With Benefits, starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. After seeing them interact on the Oscars, I knew they were a winning comedy duo. However, after seeing previews of Friends With Benefits, you cannot help but notice similarities to No Strings Attached, starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman, which was really freakin’ hilarious.
Let’s do a little comparison and see how different these movies really are.
Natalie Portman plays a doctor, named Emma, who is entirely too busy to even think about dating anyone, let alone Ashton’s character, Adam. However, she succumbs and starts sleepin’ with the guy. You’re just gonna let him get it? Tsk Tsk. Mila Kunis (who just so happens to be Portman’s co-star in another awesome movie named Black Swan) will be playing the role of Jamie, a young working woman who sleeps with her male best friend, JT’s character, Dylan. Think of Lizzie McGuire and Gordo, but a much better looking couple.
- Ashton Kutcher plays Adam, who starts developing feelings for Emma after they start sleeping together.
- [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Timberlake[/lastfm] – plays Dylan who also begins to develop feelings for his friend, Jamie, after they start knockin’ boots.
I wonder if JT was offered Ashton’s role but rejected it because it was for a movie entitled, No Strings Attached.
Fun Fact: [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]*NSYNC[/lastfm]’s biggest album was called No Strings Attached. I’m a superfan. I love the 90s. Don’t Judge…
No Strings Attached Trailer
Friends With Benefits Trailer
No Strings Attached was a very funny movie, but it was done in a way that you could bring your pre-teen daughter and not have it be a total awkward experience.
Friends With Benefits is going for a raunchier, R-Rated, NSFW feel, while still bringing that comedy we will be paying fifteen hard earned bucks to be watching.
Seriously, these movie prices these days! I’d better LMFAO or I’ll have to GTFO quick.
No Strings Attached was released on January 21, 2011. It just so happens that exactly six months and a day later, July 22, 2011, Friends With Benefits will be released.
Basically, these two movies are about the same thing with different titles. I’m predicting that Friends With Benefits will end the same way No Strings Attached did, but don’t worry, I won’t spoil it for my stragglers.
Go see it for yourself on July 22nd!
