A lot of fireworks will be shot off this weekend … and our first display in the NYC area will be taking place in Astoria tonight!  Find out the full details in today’s edition of What’s Fresh Around Town!!

1. The classic Martin Scorcese film “Raging Bull” screens for free at 8 p.m. in Tompkins Square Park.

2. Tonight is the Central Astoria Independence Celebration in Astoria Park!  It’s a waterfront concert featuring a performance by the Astoria Symphony followed by a spectacular fireworks display by Grucci.  That’s at 7:30!

3. There are a couple of Fresh artists in concert tonight: Alicia Keys at the Beacon Theatre at 8:30 p.m.  And Howie Day is at City Winery at 8 p.m.

4. Also in Sports, the Yankees are playing the Brewers at 1:05 p.m.  Staten Island Yankees home game vs. Aberdeen Ironbirds at 7 p.m.
