The beloved [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bruno Mars [/lastfm] played on The Today Show this morning to the show’s “biggest crowd of the year,” according to surprised host Ann Curry.
Unfortunately, the crowd was so large, (around 2,000) that many fans didn’t get to see the show. 18-year-olds Munzath Ashraf and Sundus Arain had been waiting since 4 AM to see the star: “We love Bruno Mars and we want to make sure we get in” … but they didn’t. Mars is pop-u-lar!
Mars was sure to play fan favorites, including “Lazy Song,” “Runaway Baby,” and a remix of “Just the Way You Are.”
Bruno Mars, a Grammy-award winning artist, used to make a living writing songs for other musicians, (think Cee-Lo Green and B.O.B.) Host Matt Lauer asked Mars about his choice to leave anonymity behind:
“Now that you’re the guy with the Grammy and the frontman, are you going to keep writing for other people?” Matt asked.
“Absolutely not. I’m done,” Bruno joked. “Of course. Of course,” he added.
