In [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm]‘s new John Hughes-esque video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F),” the perky singer hilariously and fantastically recreated a high school home party.

We know Katy Perry’s song for “Teenage Dream” is just a metaphor for crushing so hard you feel like a teenager again, but the halcyon quality of the video paired with the lyrics does a perfect job of re-creating that feeling of being in love for the first time as a teenager–and having that love reciprocated.
It’s a pretty awesome feeling.
