4 Things You Didn't Know You Could Cook On The Grill
Yep, that’s a picture of my grill when I had friends over for an assortment of chicken and beef kabobs. What you don’t see pictured are the slices of fresh pineapple I was about to sear on the grill with a little teriyaki glaze. Did you know you can grill pineapple and other fruits? You probably did, but check out these 4 foods that you may not have known you could grill.
#1.) Lettuce- Before you make your salad, throw a couple heads of romaine lettuce on the grill for a few minutes. It’ll stay crisp, but give the salad a smoky taste. Add grilled chicken or shrimp to the salad and now you’ve got an awesome meal!
#2.) Breakfast- If you’re having an early barbecue, try cooking french toast and breakfast sausage on the grill. It’ll be different than usual, but still delicious, especially with some smoked kielbasa. Butterfly the sausage and sear it on the grill and serve it with eggs. It’s the best!
#3.) Green Beans- You’ve probably cooked things like asparagus and corn-on-the-cob on the grill, but it’s great for green beans too! Just make sure you have a pan, or a flat surface to put them on, so they don’t fall through the grate.
#4.) Clams– If you put them in a pan over the fire, they’ll open right up. Then grill some lemons, add some garlic, and you’re ready to eat!
