Sexy soft rocker, Season 7 Winner of American Idol, and this year’s Six Flags Summer Festival performer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"] David Cook[/lastfm], just released a new video for his original song “The Last Goodbye” and announced that he was going back on American Idol to do a live performance of  the 1985[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Simple Minds[/lastfm] hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”

Cook has always had a super unique take on the covers that he does of any song; each song comes out sounding like a David Cook original.  In honor of his upcoming sophomore album, This Loud Morning, and his American Idol performance, we decided to do a retrospective on some of our Favorite Covers From David Cook.
