The [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] are set to perform a concert on the Great Lawn in Central Park, this summer! Registration opens this morning for your chance to get free tickets. Read on for the details and to find out what else made today’s list of What’s Fresh Around Town!

1. The Black Eyed Peas will play a concert June 9th at 7:30PM on Central Park‘s Great Lawn in order to help raise funds for the anti-poverty Robin Hood Foundation.  Registration opens today and a total of 54,000 free tickets will be given away. Click here to register.

2. The Apple Soho store is hosting a Meet the Actor event, tonight! Come out and hear actor Paul Bettany discuss his new movie, The Priest. Bettany’s film is based on the Tokyopop comic book and the event begins at 7:30PM.

3. ESPN The Magazine has joined forces with Pop-Up Magazine, in order to edit and produce their first LIVE ISSUE event. The evening will be presented as a classic print magazine and will feature a vast variety of original and eclectic sports stories and ideas from contributors to the magazine. In addition, a long list of acclaimed writers, documentary filmmakers, radio producers, photographers and artists will be contributing. The LIVE ISSUE will only exist for one night people, live on stage! The event will be held at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30PM.

4. In sports, the Yankees continue their series against the Royals at 7:05PM!
