Lady Gaga Sings 'Born This Way' and 'You And I' To The First Lady Of Television, Pirate
Doing her best impression of both a crab, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elton John[/lastfm], and an alien-version of a character from the Devil Wears Prada, Lady Gaga performed on the Oprah Winfrey Show in deliciously theatrical fashion–playing a piano nestled in a giant golden high heel which was designed by her sister.
In the way we like to hear her voice the most, Gaga did a lounge-singer rendition of “Born This Way” and an extended version of a track from her upcoming album called “You And I.” Oprah seemed to enjoy it. Johnny Depp clapped his scissor hands in appreciation. Happiness all around.
After the show, Gaga chatted with Oprah while Johnny Depp gave her an inventive new haircut:
I appreciate that we’ve all had someone like Oprah — such a strong woman — to lead us for so long, who continues to lead us…Thank you for inspiring me and thank you for inspiring the world.
So much female empowerment going on! We’d suggest we all burn our bras or something, but then Lady Gaga wouldn’t have anything to wear most of the time.
