I’m sure everyone has heard/watched the news in the last few hours, that Osama Bin Laden is dead. This is a great victory for our country today, as well as a reminder of all that happened almost 10 years ago this year in New York City, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania.
Working in New York City was a dream of mine since a young age, I’ve always loved it here! I have to say that every time… and I mean EVERY time I commute into work… as soon as the New York City skyline comes into view… I remember 9/11.
Right now it feels good to know that some justice has been done… for the friends/families of the victims, rescue workers, police, firemen, New York City… and especially for the people who lost their lives that day.
Please remember the unity that President Obama spoke about last night, the way we all pulled together to get through such a tough time. As our day by day activities continue, like going to work, school, battling NYC traffic, etc… let’s all try to treat each other with kindness and respect.
