It is Easter weekend and there’s a bunch of fun things for you to do this weekend! Whether you want to check out the Easter Eggstravaganza or the annual Easter Parade in Manhattan, they’re on our list of What’s Fresh Around Town!
1. Join Fresh 102.7 at the New York International Auto Show
The Auto Show is at the Javits Convention Center all weekend long! It’s the largest attended Auto Show in North America, and one of the most popular events in New York City each year, receiving over one million visitors during its 10-day run. Filling the Javits Center with over 1,000 vehicles from major auto manufacturers and more, it is a must see for all auto enthusiasts. It runs through May 1.
2. Tribeca Film Fest Drive in!
This is going to be a blast! Of course, the Tribeca Film Festival is going on and tomorrow, they’re having a free Drive-In screening on the Hudson River of “Muppets Take Manhattan” with pre-show activities including face-painting, Muppet-themed trivia, sing-alongs and a DIY puppet-making station! That’s at 8pm.
3. Easter Eggstravaganza!
On Saturday, you’ve got the Easter Eggstravaganza! It’s a full day of activities including an Easter egg hunt, crafts table (decorating eggs and baskets), egg-in-spoon races, sack races and an “egg-cercise” class. This event will also feature an appearance by “Pearl the Squirrel!” That’s at the Thomas Jefferson Recreation Center from 11am to 3:30pm.
4. Easter Parade in Manhattan!
Grab your Easter Bonnet because Sunday is the annual Easter Parade in Manhattan! It’s between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Fifth Avenue between 49th and 57th Streets. For customers who want to show off their chic chapeaus, the closest subway station is at Fifth Avenue/53rd Street on the E line.
5. And In Sports…
The Knicks are playing the Celtics at the Garden tonight and the Mets are playing the Diamondbacks all weekend long!
