1. ”Madagascar Live!”
Begins its run at Radio City Music Hall today at 5 p.m. It runs through April 24. Get more info here >
2. Lego Intrepid!
Artist Ed Diment will assemble a 22-foot-long, 550 pound model of the USS Intrepid out of LEGO from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Intrepid Museum both today and tomorrow.
3. The Drama Desk Luncheon Panel at Sardi’s
Hit Sardi’s today with Jim Belushi, Dan Lauria, John Larroquette, John Leguizamo, Annabella Sciorra and others at 11:45 a.m.
4. ”Let’s Go New York” Playoff Rally
The Knicks/Rangers are having a “Let’s Go New York” Playoff Rally today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Greeley Square Park. And speaking of which, tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. for Knicks playoffs.
5. Coney Island History Project
Deno’s Wonder Wheel, Luna Park, the Cyclone and the Coney Island History Project free museum open for the season tomorrow.
6. Record Store Day
Religions have holidays to celebrate their culture and now music does too. It’s called Record Store Day and it happens every year on the third Saturday in April. Tomorrow is the one day that all independently owned record stores come together with artists around the world to celebrate the art of music. Vinyl is always in style! Get more info here >
7. Tavern on the Green Food Truck Terrace Opening
Also on Saturday, the Tavern on the Green Food Truck Terrace Opening from 2 to 4 p.m. To launch their first Spring / Summer season the four food trucks – Ladle of Love, Pera Turkish Tacos, Rickshaw Dumplings and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream – will treat New Yorkers to an afternoon of lively music and free food. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. each truck will offer one complimentary menu item per person, while The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn will perform their signature jazz, swing and blues.
8. NYC Chili Cook-Off
The NYC Chili Cook-off is on Saturday! It is the only chili cook-off within the five boroughs that has been sanctioned by the International Chili Society! It includes chili sampling, judging, cash prizes, amusements, and live entertainment. That’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
9. Two different charity runs are happening on Sunday!
The JFK Runway Run is happening has become one of the major fund raisers for the JFK Rotary Club, which supports scholarships and sponsors terminally ill children from countries with limited medical and technological services for life-saving heart operations at local hospitals.
10. Also on Sunday is the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5k
All proceeds from the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge benefit Special Olympics New Jersey athletes and help foster the Special Olympics mission: To provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The Yankees are playing the Rangers all weekend long. And on Sunday, the NHL’s first-round playoffs: the Rangers play the Washington Capitals at 3 p.m. at Madison Square Garden
