Animotion – “Room To Move”Vodpod videos no longer available.
“Room to Move” was released in 1989 on Animotion’s third album. Although the album flopped, the track reached the top ten in the United States and is probably the only other song you’ll recognize in this list.
Cynthia Rhodes and Paul Engemann (it was basically a completely different band from the “Obsession” days at this point) shared lead vocals on the song, which was featured in the 1988 sci-fi comedy My Stepmother Is an Alien.Vodpod videos no longer available.
Animotion – “I, Engineer”Vodpod videos no longer available.
“I, Engineer” is off of Animotion’s second album Strange Behavior. Not much else to say about this one, other than the fact that in the chorus it sounds like they’re singing “I’ll take a leak”!
Animotion from Wikipedia:
Animotion is an 80s New Wave/synthpop band from Los Angeles, California best known for their song “Obsession” (written by Michael Des Barres and Holly Knight). The band formed in 1983 from the remnants of a “retro science-fiction” (What the heck is THAT?!) band called Red Zone, signed a record deal with Polygram in 1984 and made three albums.

Animotion – “Let Him Go”Vodpod videos no longer available.
This is one of the better singles from Animotion that you’ve never heard. Personally, I love the New Order-esque “True Faith” beat. Actually, now that I think about it… this song sounds a hell of a lot like New Order’s “True Faith”.
