After the devastating 8.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Japan last Friday, celebrities are lending their star power to raise money for victims. Our “Mother Monster”, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], is in the forefront of this mission with the creation of Japanese styled “relief” wristbands that are NOW ON SALE online.
The wristbands are red and white and say “We Pray for Japan” and includes a drawing of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]‘s famous monster paw that her fans know and love.
Recently, Gaga took to her Twitter page to get the word out about donating to the disaster relief efforts.
“I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters,” said Gaga. She also told fans that it didn’t matter how much or little that they had to give. It was just more important to give to those in need… the people of Japan.
“Choose your price to add an additional donation with your wristband,” the description for the bracelet reads. “All proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts.”
And then came this awesome update:
Thank you Lady Gaga! Let’s show our support and donate whatever we can to the earthquake and tsunami victims.
