The production of Hangover 2 has not been without drama. Trouble in Vegas started when Mel Gibson was slated to join the cast as a tattoo artist. The rest of the cast was none too happy about his addition to the roster.
Actor Zach Galifianakis was particularly adamant about not working with Mel: “A movie you’re acting in, you don’t have a lot of control — you just show up and vomit your lines out. I’m not the boss. I’m in a deep protest right now with a movie I’m working on, up in arms about something. But I can’t get the guys to [listen] … I’m not making any leeway.“
Galifianakis wasn’t the only cast member against Mel’s cameo, and eventually Mel was cut from the script. In happier news, our former President, Bill Clinton, will be joining the cast playing none other than Bill Clinton. Talk about type casting. I hope he has a tiger and punches someone in the face, but somehow I think he’ll be slightly more presidential in his conduct. Zach Galifianakis does not appear to be “in a deep protest” regarding this particular casting choice.
