First there was Stefani Germanotta, the dark haired up and coming singer and songwriter from New York who had a hard time getting on stage.  Then came the transformation from Germanotta to [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] who has no problem getting on stage!

Bob Leone, her former manager, said that [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] would have a hard time getting onstage.  He spoke to People.com and said Lady Gaga was “painfully shy and is very different from who she is now.” He went on to say that Gaga would go to various open mic nights around NYC and would attend a few times before getting enough courage to perform onstage.

According to Leone, [lastfm]Lady Gaga [/lastfm]went through a transformation back in 2006.  During this time she wrote a lot of the the music that helped make her famous and that’s when she officially started to go  by the name of [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm].
