m5 Maroon 5 Announce New Album, Tour

Three years after the release of their double platinum album “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long,” [lastfm]Maroon 5[/lastfm] are getting ready to put out a new album and are heading out on a one month tour which will preview some of the new tracks.

“Hands All Over” is set to be released on September 21st. In an interview with Billboard.com, lead singer Adam Levine said the album “kind of hearkens back to the spirit behind the first record (2002’s quadruple platinum ‘Songs About Jane’) and is less like the second one (2007’s ‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’) — or is a combination of both, the best elements of both all in one.”

The album was produced by Mutt Lange, who’s worked with artists like [lastfm]Shania Twain[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Nickelback[/lastfm], and was recorded at his studio in Switzerland. The album will also feature a guest appearance by [lastfm]Lady Antebellum[/lastfm] on the song “Out of Goodbyes.”

While the band is still working out the final track listing of the disc, you can expect to hear plenty of new songs on their upcoming tour. The band comes to the New York area in August, with a show at Jones Beach on August 11th and then PNC Bank Arts Center on August 15th. On both dates they will be supported by [lastfm]Owl City[/lastfm] and [lastfm]V.V. Brown[/lastfm].

The band posted the following video on their official site to announce their new tour and album…
