[lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] frontman Liam Gallagher is reportedly working on a film adaptation of the book “The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider’s Diary of The Beatles, Their Million Dollar Apple Empire and Its Wild Rise and Fall.”

NME reports that the “Wonderwall” singer has acquired the rights to the memoirs, written by [lastfm]The Beatles[/lastfm]’ so-called “house hippy” at Apple Records Richard DiLello, and has also formed a new film production company called In 1 Productions.

The book is an insider’s account on the final years of The Beatles from 1967 to 1970. Reports claim that Gallagher will announce the project next week at the Cannes film festival.
