[lastfm]The Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] are the holders of a new record. Their hit “I Gotta Feeling” is now the most downloaded song in history, surpassing [lastfm]Flo Rida[/lastfm]’s “Low.”

According to Contact Music, the song has been downloaded over 5.5 million times – the most since digital song records had started to be recorded by Nielsen SoundScan in 2003.

“I Gotta Feeling” spent 14 weeks at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year, and is currently sitting at number 37 on the iTunes singles chart.
