The man who rushed onstage and attacked [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] guitarist Noel Gallagher at a show in Toronto in 2008 has been sentenced to 12 months house arrest.
Daniel Sullivan ran onstage and pushed Gallagher from behind during the Virgin Music Festival in September 2008.
He suffered three broken ribs as a result, forcing Oasis to cancel shows in New York and Paris.
Gallagher said in a statement that he felt as though he had been “hit by a bus,” and needed months of rehabilitation and is still recovering.
The conditions of Sullivan’s sentence only allow him to leave the house for work. He is also prohibited from alcohol possession for the next 12 months.
