[lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] is getting ready to release her fourth album Bionic, which will hit store shelves on June 8th. In an interview with MTV, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer says in ways it feels similar to her debut album which came out 10 years ago.
“I feel like I haven’t made a record this fun in a pop sensibility since my very first record because I feel there, there’s been growth and comfort within myself that I don’t have to be scared of that side of myself anymore. But it’s in a much more sophisticated way that I was able to release it on this record.”
Aguilera is going out in full-force to promote her upcoming record, including an appearance on the Today Show summer concert series on June 8th, as well as an appearance on the American Idol finale in May.
She will also be taping an episode of VH-1 Storytellers on May 4th Los Angeles and then goes out to New York City three days later to tape an appearance for Oprah.
